SHORT FILM PROGRAM No 002

Floodline (2025)
Sophia Feuer | 19' 45" | USA | West Coast Premiere
Due to mysterious circumstances, two sisters are left with an estranged relative in a rural town that seems out of place, out of time, and full of unspoken secrets.

Part fiction, part documentary, the story intertwines itself into the real history of the Elmira Flood of 1978, recounted by those who lived it and continue to experience its effects to this day.

Suspicions About the Hidden Realities of Air (2025)
Sam Drake | 9' 07" | USA | San Diego Premiere
Fragmentary accounts reveal a concealed history of Cold War era human radiation experiments, surfacing through a haze of manipulation and embedded studies. Desert dust settles into teeth, inscribing a residual record. Contaminated images conjure the unseen.

Redwood Souvenirs (2025)
John Winn | 5' | USA | California Premiere
Time spent house-sitting for Fredric Jameson from 2020 until 2022. Assembled after his death as a memento for myself and others.

Computer-Assisted Simulation Technology for Optimizing Rivers (2025)
Ryan Hill | 5' 41" | Canada | World Premiere
Computer-Assisted Simulation Technology for Optimizing Rivers" is about beavers managing the water and other resources in a location in southern Manitoba where two rivers connect. Through the construction of dams and lodges, the landscape is transformed into one of greater productive value.

Chair Cemetery (2024)
Alicia LΓ©vy | 3' 35" | France | U.S.A. Premiere
Confusion settles in the house, how to make it a home again?

Memoirs Found in a Bathtub (2025)
Leonardo Pirondi | 4' 20" | Brazil/Portugal | US Premiere
In Stanislaw Lem's book of the same title, a paper-destroying blight obliterated much of Earth's written historyβ€”except for what's in the book. In this film, we look at a similar but unmarked future, perhaps one less distant than Lem's 3140s. Amid the rubble of an uncertain setting, the narrated soundtrack reads from the last surviving parts of some bound pages, perhaps a reporter's notebook, a dream diary, or a book manuscript.

Language Decay (2025)
Zazie Ray-Trapido | 2' 55" | USA | California Premiere
A broken camera captures my grandmother. Time causes disintegration, different versions of selves emerge.

You Do Not Exist (2026)
Dwayne LeBlanc | 8' | USA | San Diego Premiere
In the stillness of his yard, Booker watches the sky fill and empty with passing planes. As the world moves around him, he lingers, circling a memory whose edges blur with time.
